MENSTRIE CRAFT GROUP
The Craft group meets in the Church Hall every Monday and Tuesday afternoon from 2 pm till 4 pm. It is run by Jessie France, and everyone at any level is made welcome. There are over 50 members from all over the area. They tackle at least 18 different crafts including quilting, quilling, patchwork, decoupage, crochet, hand knitting, egg-craft, embroidery, tapestry, cross stitch and pillow lace. There is nothing that someone wouldn't tackle and there is no tutor: everyone learns from each other.
Each daily class costs just 50p with most of the materials provided to get you started. This group has been running for 20 years and has raised a considerable amount for charities in the district.
To find out more about the craft group contact Jessie or secretary Rena Burnett (numbers in the phone book).
