3. Matters Arising from Minute of 12th October 2010

These are covered in the rest of the Agenda

4. Treasurer's Report

In the absence of the Treasurer there was no report.

A £30 donation was received on behalf of the Community Council's fundraising. Mr. George Matheson offered his assistance to take the lead in re-organising our banking and finances.

5. Community Police Officers' Report

There have only been minor incidents in the village.
P.C. Smith presented an updated written report.

6. Councillor Paterson's Report

Dog Bins in Middleton Kerse

These are being actioned.

Grit Bin at the bridge at Brook Street and Burnside Road

Salt bins are not provided in areas that are basically flat. The bridge is a steel structure and as such salt would damage the bridge. JP will speak to the Council again and ask if just sand could be provided.

Wind Turbine planing application

The wind turbine application has been withdrawn.

Disposal of fallen leaves

A complaint was received that the Council gardeners who were raking up the leaves were throwing them down onto the railway line.

Trees in Windsor Street

JP will speak to Councillor Carrick regarding this as it still has to go before the Planning Meeting. There will only be a short timescale for the removal of these trees before the birds start nesting again.

7. Correspondence

Correspondence was read and actioned.

8. Dumyat Centre

Les presented a draft paper to the members to read and it was decided that any comments should be sent to him in two weeks time so that the discussion paper can be passed to Clackmannanshire Council for consideration.

9. Future Events

10. Menstrie Matters

The next newsletter will go out in November.

11. Community Woodland

The tidy up in the Woodland took place two weeks ago. There was disappointment at the [sparse] turnout of local people to help.

12. Fete and Gala 2011

A written report was presented by Andrew Noon.

11. Any Other Business

A PA system was available for sale and members agreed that we purchase this.

12. Date and Time of Next Meeting

Tuesday 14th December 2010 at 7.00pm in the Dumyat Centre.
