The current balance stands at £7,301.21.

5. Community Police Officers' report

In the absence of P.C. Smith, a written report was distributed to the members.
The report can be viewed on the CC website at the link shown.

6. Councillors' reports

Councillor Carrick apologised to the members for his non-attendance at the previous meetings.

Councillor Carrick reported that there has been a change of administration in the Council and he is no longer a member of the Labour Group. The new SNP administration will now re-introduce the upgrade of non-adopted roads. Park Road South will be a priority on the list.

Between now and April the new administration will be changing their priorities to front line services.

A reply has also been received from Burnfoot Wind Farm and Councillor Carrick will follow this up in the quest to have Menstrie included in the potential funding.

7. Correspondence

All correspondence was read and actioned as required.

8. Community Woodland

Fortunately not many trees were felled during the recent storms. A date will be arranged for a work day.

9. Dumyat Centre

The refurbishment of the Library has now been completed and the tops have been put on the shelves. The remainder of the refurbishment of the Centre will be completed after the end of this financial year.

10. Menstrie Matters

The next issue will be at the beginning of March.

11. Any other business

It was agreed that £700 would be transferred into the Wood Account so that more transparent accounting can be created.

It was agreed that there will be a Bottle Stall and Hamper raffle on Sunday 8th April at the Duck Race.

A Race Night for Gala funds will take place in the Hollytree on the 7th March. Each member will be given a Race sheet to sell.

LS asked that, before the next meeting, members think about their role on the Community Council and what they feel they can contribute to it.

Check list to be drawn up before the next meeting and all were asked to think about what should be on the list.

13. Date and time of the next meeting

Tuesday 14th February 2012 in the Dumyat Centre.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 21.15.
