Other incidents of note

Calls to Menstrie

Other community issues

Neighbour dispute Burnside Road continues.

Police attended Menstrie Primary for meeting with head teacher for routine review of any problems. Positive meeting with little concerns.

Clown craze - police are aware of this American craze and the social media postings relating to same. Police Scotland have made it clear that threatening and abusive behaviour is an offence. Responsible behaviour has been reiterated across our county.

Voucher Fraud - There has been an increase in reports of voucher frauds whereby a telephone call is received from someone pretending to be from official Government Department. The caller then insists that money is to be paid to them or further action would be taken against the recipient of the call. The caller then requests that payment is made via a voucher system which can be purchased from local stores and the identification number passed to the caller, giving them access to the funds purchased by the voucher. NO Government department would ask for payment to be made in this manner and if a call is received like this then please treat this as suspicious and contact Actionfraud.police.uk or your local police office.

Rural farms targeted - theft of quad bikes in the Yetts of Muckhart area.

Social Media

Facebook and Twitter: Community Messages can be placed on local Police sites via the Community Sergeant, who is PS Catherine Sharkey 089, or PS Graham Cadden 856 based at Alloa Police Office.
