Menstrie Community Council

Message from the Community Council Chairman, August 2009

Woodland Workgroup

As I have said in previous letters, the wood belongs to the village and its people, and we are its custodians. To this end we are proposing the formation of a woodland workgroup.

There is a huge amount of work needing done. Some is simply maintenance but other large projects would allow better access to the woods for a greater number of people.

We do not anticipate forming a discussion group but an active working group whose members are prepared to undertake some of these tasks.

Our first meeting will be held on Thursday 27th August, at 7.00pm in the Scout Hall.

If you are interested in taking care of the woodland in any way, or indeed getting fit in a green gym, please come along and find out just how much difference you can make.

Les Sharp, Chairman
Menstrie Community Council
