Menstrie Scout Group

Link to the Scouts' web site |d| Having spent most of the winter months indoors the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts are looking forward to the longer evenings when activities can be taken out into the nearby woods and hills. However the winter months have enabled all three sections to make considerable progress in the Award and Activity Badge schemes. Soon the Cubs and Scouts will be taking part in a joint activity covering many of the requirements for the Outdoor Award - camping, backwoods cooking, shelter construction and abseiling.

The scouts in the Troop are looking forward to the annual Easter Camp at our Third Glen camp site - three days packed full of fun and adventurous activities culminating in our Easter Scouts Own service at 3pm on the Sunday afternoon to which all members of the community, willing to climb the hill, are invited. If you are hill-fit allow an hour for the walk and if not so fit then allow a bit longer. Whatever your state of fitness you'll enjoy a very pleasant walk.

Please bear in mind that scouting is for girls as well as boys. The Scout Movement's newest recruit is a girl - The Duchess of Cambridge.

Come along and JOIN THE ADVENTURE.
